“Poppy,” our pet this week, is a “special needs” kitty. She was hit by a car when she was just a young kitten and her leg was hurt. But she has nearly recovered and just has a slight limp. Now she’s about three months old and is a darling. She has a big heart and loves people. Because of her accident and recovery she seems to appreciate life more than the usual cat. Poppy now needs a loving owner who appreciates her fine qualities and character.
As are all the other adoptees at the Shelter Poppy is in perfect health. She has had her test for feline leukemia, worming, shots and will be sterilized when she’s old enough.
You may see her at the Bonaire Animal Shelter on the Lagoen Road, open Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm, 3 to 5 pm. Tel.717-4989.
