Fury little Flo

FloFurry little “Flo” is the star of a happy ending to a very hard luck story.

She was found on the street and was totally infested with ticks and fleas. Flo might have just withered away and died a long, slow, agonizing death had not someone caught her and brought her into the Bonaire Animal Shelter. It was quite a tedious, lengthy and tiring job for the staff to rid her of all the vermin. But look at her now. She’s gorgeous, and she’s healthy and lots of fun to have around. The experts believe she was born around the beginning of April but certainly not an April Fool! Because she is such a fine dog with good character is why the Shelter staff decided to work with her and bring her into good health.

You may meet Flo at the Shelter on the Lagoen Road, open Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm. 3 to 5 pm. Tel. 717-4989.

Are you starved for pet company but can’t have a pet of your own? Why not become a volunteer at the Shelter where you will be very much appreciated by not only the staff but the pets themselves. You may choose your own hours and times. They’re pretty flexible there.
