Ayo Monique!

We say a sad goodbye to Monique Degenaar, one of the co-managers of the  Shelter. After four years on the island working diligently at the Shelter Monique will be returning to Holland.
Monique has been a pillar of the Shelter, not only  working there day after day, but she’s brought endangered kittens and puppies home, trying to save their lives, feeding them every three hours, day and
night! “That is hard,” she confesses, “because after I raised them I
wanted to keep them!” But her husband, heretofore understanding, put his foot down and said once the young ones could eat regular pet food they had to go back to the Shelter. We’ll all really miss you Monique. And that includes your four-footed pals at the Shelter!
Taking over Monique’s job will be Regina Schouten
